In the 1950’s, Dick Bertram was a well-established blue-water sailing yacht racer, powerboat racer, and yacht broker. In 1960, Bertram founded Bertram Yachts and built the first ever Bertram, the 31-foot Glass Moppie. The Bertram 31 initiated the launch of a line of performance and sportfishing boats that would be known for their exceptional ride and seakeeping in harsh conditions. Over its many years in the boating industry, the company has grown increasingly thanks to many remarkable models such as the Bertram 28, 46, and 54 that all left their footprint in the fishing world. In 2015, Bertram Yachts was acquired by the Ferretti Group and now operates as a subsidiary.

Today, Bertram is based out of Miami, Florida and specializes in manufacturing sport fishing yachts. The Bertram brand is dedicated to creating performance oriented high quality boats for the most passionate and knowledgeable boaters and anglers in the world. Bertram Yachts operates and maintains the finest service center on the Gulf Coast in Tampa, Florida. They offer complete refit and repair of vessels from 35 to 120 feet. They work with all brands of boats, engines, and equipment. Bertram’s craftsmen and tradesmen have unrivaled skills and experience in yacht construction, refit, and repair. Their service center contains 2 large 160-ton travel lifts, complete yacht painting, diesel engine repair, complete drivetrain and propeller work, woodwork and upholstery interior repairs, electronics repair and installation, and Wi-Fi and captains’ offices. The Bertram Service Center prides itself in being a one stop shop for all marine service needs.

This year, Bertram has launched the brand-new family-friendly Bertram 35. This phenomenally built boat incorporates a beamier, longer hull design that allows for a spacious and comfortable interior. Built with twin 460 horsepower diesel engines, the boat can reach speeds over 40 knots. The engines can be accessed through two engine boxes in the cockpit that also act as mezzanine seating. The interior was specifically designed to respect the tradition of Bertram but also to also give it a modern translation and a much fresher look. The Bertram 35 is customizable to be completely fish equipped making it a game changer for the Bertram Brand.
