PowerboatGuide says: A popular model, the Bertram 390 Convertible combines the Italian-inspired styling common to many late model Bertram convertibles following Ferretti’s purchase of Bertram in 1998. While the styling was a departure from earlier, more conservative Bertram convertibles, the deep-V hull of the 390 is pure Bertram—a stretched version of the well-regarded Bertram 37 Convertible hull (1986–93) with a stepped sheer, moderate beam, and solid fiberglass bottom.  The two-stateroom, galley-down cherry interior of the 390 is a tasteful blend of high-gloss woodwork and quality furnishings.  A leather sofa is to port in the cozy salon and an L-shaped dinette with teak table is forward to starboard.  The starboard guest stateroom has side-by-side berths rather than the over/under bunks so often found in guest staterooms.  Note the overhead rod locker in the salon.  The cockpit includes a removable fish box, bait prep center, engine room access, and transom door with gate. The 390's single transverse fuel tank helps minimize trim change throughout fuel load range with minimum effect on the ride. Volvo TAMD74EDC 480hp V-drive diesels cruise at 24–26 knots (about 30 knots top).Recent service and upgrades:New isinglass bridge enclosure 2022Standard Horizon VHF RadioIcom VHF RadioFusion MS-UD750 Stereo with XM Radio/satelliteTwo Garmin 8610 GPSMAP  2021Garmin Autopilot  2023New RadarNew Cushions and coverings on Captains chairs/bench cushion in bridgeNew bow hatches x 230 ft new anchor chain and lineNew outrigger linesTarp cover on backNew microwaveLED lightingNew bed cushions Starboard cabinNew air conditioner blower unit - Starboard cabinNew air conditioner blower unit - Forward cabinNew AC Chiller installed 10/2024New stereo Main cabinNew underwater lightingReplaced secondary fuel filters both engines Oil filters replacedReplaced oil pick- ups, strainer and pump Port sideGasket seals and oil pans replacedReplaced oil supply line and fittings from filter housing to Turbo enginesVolvo Penta engine wiring harness replaced 2021main engine belts replaced  10/21Duct work cleaned/replacedIntake hoses replacedSeacocks replacedEngine heat exchangers reconditionedNew Exhaust 2023New trim tabs 2023Generator overhaul 2021Fuel Injectors cleaned 2022New Racor fuel filters 2023New fuel tank sight glassNew batteries 2023Reconditioned props 2023New Cutlass bearings 2023Shaft seals replaced 2023

Manufacturer Provided Description
The Bertram 390 Convertible is a sportfisherman that combines a deep-V hull with the needs of tournament anglers. The interior of the 390 Convertible can be compared to much larger boats. It was developed to satisfy the sportfisherman, yet deliver the comfort of a cruising boat. The salon - galley - dinette layout is spacious and practical. There is room to relax or entertain in comfort with a full complement of standard features and amenities. The second cabin is unique, with side by side twin berths instead of the more common over and under berths. Unusual for a boat of this size is the elevated cocktail area forward of the dinette, and the possibility of a washer & dryer stack in the companionway. On the practical side, particular attention was paid to the organization and layout of the engine room. The fuel tank was put amidships to minimize the effect of fuel load on trim. It also acts as an effective insulator of noise and engine room heat for the forward cabin area. Careful layout of major components makes maintenance very easy. Even in the unlikely necessity of removing an engine or generator, the 390 has been designed so that this can be done without major surgery to the boat. Disclaimer
