Walkthrough
Safe Havens is a 1985 58’ Hatteras Series II Motor Yacht. This is the first year of the wide beam hull design Hatteras shared with additional models. The salon and aft deck provide generous living space, and the full beam master provides a king size bed, walk-in closet, settee and ensuite head with bathtub. There are two additional cabins, each with their own head. The mid-level galley was updated in 2018 and is equipped with a 23 cu. ft. refrigerator, 5 burner electric range and conventional oven, overhead microwave and dishwasher. The gleaming tile countertops are centered by a stainless-steel sink with disposal. The flooring is engineered maple wood providing durability and resistance to moisture.
The inviting salon includes two couches, one which converts using two ottomans to a full-size berth, the other a leather couch with power recliners at each end. The area is highlighted by a working electric fireplace that provides heat for cool spells and is topped by a 50” flat screen television equipped with Roku. The floor was updated in 2020 with engineered rosewood. The aft deck is full beam, equipped with a full enclosure, sink, beverage cooler, storage cabinets and the same moisture resistant and durable engineered wood found in the galley.
The fly bridge is enormous, equipped with an L-shaped settee, two helm chairs, helm controls, a Garmin display and a partial enclosure with a hinged arch enabling this yacht to clear 20’ while underway. A 13’ Caribe tender, powered by a 40 HP 4-stroke Mercury outboard can be launched using the 1,000 lb UMT crane.
Twin Detroit 8V-92, 650 HP diesels power this yacht in twin, port and starboard located, full standup height engine rooms. Naiad stabilizers provide for a stable ride in choppy seas. A side-power, bow thruster assists with docking. Power when underway is provided from a 20 KW, Northern Lights generator and there are 5 cruise air reverse cycle AC units (1 not operational), each with updated SMX controls.
